Welcome to the best area in the mission!!!

Marysville is an awesome city. Here's some things you'll want to be aware of:

You have dinner with the Roshon family on {{currentDayNoYear}} at 5pm. They were baptized 2 years ago but went less-active because they got scared about going to the temple. Krystal and Rob are the parents. Alexus is 16 and Gavon is 10. They stopped seeing missionaries for a while now, so we're really stoked that we landed this dinner with them. They used to smoke, but quit. We know Krystal was reading up on some anti so we feel like she could use a refresher on the Restoration. Alexus kinda fell out with a lot of the young women in the ward because of some drama and she doesn't really feel like she belongs anymore.

Bishop Bowles is a great bishop! Always looking for ways to help the missionaries. You'll definitely want to work closely with him.

The teaching records should tell you everything you need to know about the people we're working with. Most of them are pretty chill so we'd recommend just stopped by or calling them to introduce yourself and teach a lesson.

Good luck missionaries!!

PRO TIPS AND FAQ

Your job is to plan your first day in your new area! You'll be planning from 10 AM (right after personal study) to 9 PM (when you have to be back in your apartment). Make sure you have a meaningful activity planned for every hour of the day. Meals can take up to 2 hours combined.

  • Plan with the people in mind. What are their needs? What will you teach them?
  • No need to go too in-depth on lesson plans. A main topic and one or more invitations is sufficient
  • Plan the most important things first. Here are your priorities (see PMG 151):
    1. People on date for baptism
    2. Other people being taught
    3. Work with members to find new people to teach
    4. Find people through your own efforts
  • Assume there are no covid restrictions
  • Don't forget to have companionship study
